Our Practice

New Day is a private practice providing specialist clinical and counseling psychology. New Day has gone through many changes since being founded in 2008 by Dr Denise Robertson.

Currently, Dr Denise Robertson is providing psychological services in a relaxed rural environment surrounded by 5 acres of bushland in a spacious standalone clinic. The clinic is in Camp Mountain only 10 minutes drive from Ferny Grove Train Station.

Our practice aims to provide high quality and caring evidence based psychological and counseling services to people from all walks of life in a friendly environment.

We offer accessible best practice psychological services in a friendly peaceful and therapeutic environment.

I aim to serve and work closely with our local community and provide services which will help build a healthier community through my work with individuals and families and agencies.

Our Staff

Dr Denise Robertson BA(Hons), PhD (Clinical Psych), MAPS Director Dr Denise Robertson is a fully registered and practicing Clinical Psychologist and has been practicing in the Brisbane area for over 25 years working with a wide variety of clients across the lifespan.  Denise has worked in many different mental health sectors as a clinical psychologist and an educator including  adult community mental health settings, (acute and community settings) and has been in full time private practice since 2007.

Dr Robertson has expertise in a wide range of assessment and therapy approaches developed for assisting adults and families with emotional, behavioural and relationship problems.  Denise is an experienced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy practitioner which is especially effective for people suffering anxiety and depressive disorders. Denise has a special interest and advanced training in positive psychology approaches and working within young people and families. 

Denise founded New Day in 2008 and is passionate about meeting the psychological needs of the local community and supporting New Day staff in providing effective and professional services.

Dr Robertson also has specialist expertise, developed during her Doctoral training in assisting people and their families cope with psychosis. Denise is registered to supervise at all levels with APHRA and has been member of the APS clinical college for many years.
